Updating a Client's TB Status

Updated on

As a client's TB test results expire, the client needs to be retested and the results input into the system. The Department of Public Health routinely audits us to ensure we're following regulations concerning tuberculosis testing and quarantine.

This article describes how to update the TB status from the quick action button on the contact record.

Begin from the Client's Contact page.

1. Click Update TB Status.

2. Select the correct TB Status.

Pending Grace Period: The client has two weeks as they await their test results to be read.
Negative: Client does not have TB.
Positive - With Clearance Letter: Client has TB, but has been treated and the health agency has given them a clearance letter indicating they are not infectious.
Positive - Without Clearance Letter: Client has infectious TB, must immediately be quarantined, and we need to work with the DPH on how to handle the case and possible spread.
Refused To Take Test: Client has refused to take the test and cannot stay at Atlanta Mission.

3. If the status is Negative or Positive, set the Date TB Test Verified.

4. Click Next.

5. Click Finish.

The Client's TB Status has been updated!
