A Check Only scans just the check. Accurate scanning in JobScan is the crucial first step that feeds both pieces into AQ2, keeping gift details linked for later data entry, bank deposit, and Salesforce updates. Follow the steps below to keep donations moving smoothly.
There are known issues that may arise when scanning. Learn how to resolve them.
1. Double click CheckOnly.
2. Place a stack checks together in the right side of the scanner.
Do not place more than 50 checks at a time in the scanner.
Ensure the text on the checks faces the Start/Stop buttons.

Confirm the Mail Date is accurate. If you’re entering last month’s checks (e.g., it’s the 1st but the gifts belong to the 30th), change the Mail Date to that prior‑month date.
3. Click Ok.
4. Click Start.
As the system scans, you will see the checks on the screen.
5. When the left hand side fills up, remove the items that have been scanned.
6. Place the scanned items next to the sheet of paper with the batch number.
7. Add another stack of coupons and checks on the right hand side of the scanner.
8. Repeat until you've reached the end of the batch.
When the batch has completed, the screen will return to the screen with the. AQ2 logo and the Luminate folder.
6. Wrap the stack of checks up with a sheet of Atlanta Mission letterhead.
7. Write the Batch Number and Mail Date on the upper righthand corner of the letterhead.
8. Place in the file cabinet drawer.
In 90 days, the checks can be placed in the shredder.
