2.1 Adjusting the Scanline in AQ2

Updated on

The scanline is the set of numbers and letters in the bottom right corner of a remit.  It is made up of typically two sets of numbers and in some occassion three sets of numbers. The first number is the donor ID with leading zeros to make it a 12 digit number.  The second number is the appeal code (mapped to Salesforce as the Appeal Code).

The scanline area is what dictates if the scanline is readable by the scanner. If a scanline is outside the scanable area, !!!!! will appear in Job Manage as the scanline. On rare occasion, you will need to adjust the scanline in order to make the scanner recognize the scanline properly. When creating a scanline you will need to use OCR font to ensure readability by the scanner.

As of July 2015 measurements are: 8mm Vertical Cntr 95 Width and 15mm height starting in the bottom right corner.
