Opting Donors and Volunteers Out of Specific Communication Channels

Occasionally, a donor or volunteer may reach out to us with a desire to stop receiving certain types of communications from Atlanta Mission. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to update their preferences to opt out of specific outreach channels, including emails, phone calls, event invitations, and text messages, while ensuring their wishes are respected and accurately recorded.

1. Scroll down to Communication Preferences.

2. Click the pencil icon next to the type of communication the individual would like to be opted out of.

3. Check the Opt Out box for the particular communication channel.

4. Click Save.

The communication preference has been updated!

It can take up to 90 days for a donor/volunteer to stop receiving mail once they've been opted out as we preprint and send things to bulk mail.
