Recording Community Living Infractions

To ensure the safety of our community on campus, we need to record Community Living Infractions. Community Living Infractions are given when a client violates the Community Living Guidelines they agreed to at Intake.

This article describes how to document a Community Living Infractions on a client's profile. To document an incident, click here.

1. From the Client's Contact Record, click the Arrow symbol by Incidents.

2. Click New.

3. Select Community Living Infraction.

4. Click Next.

5. Enter a brief Subject to title the Infraction.

6. Select Incident Date and Time.

7. Select the Incident Type.

8. Select the correct Notice #.

If you believe the Infraction to warrant a Temporary Ban or a Permanent Ban, check the Recommend Ban box. Learn more about recommending a ban.

Lifetime Ban:
The below actions will result in immediate discharge from an Atlanta Mission bed and a temporary ban on receiving further services:  

  • Structural Damage
  • Physical harm
  • Sex offender
  • Crime that results in going to jail
  • Discharging a weapon on campus
  • Pointing a weapon at someone on campus

Temporary Ban – 1 year:
The below actions will result in immediate discharge from an Atlanta Mission bed and a temporary ban on receiving further services:  

  • Possession of weapons, firearms, sharp objects, or anything that can be used as a weapon
  • Physical altercation with a staff member, another client, or a volunteer  
  • Possession or use of illegal drugs/alcohol on Atlanta Mission property  
  • Refusal to take a drug screen as requested by Atlanta Mission staff  
  • Sexual activity on Atlanta Mission property  
  • Smoking in the building, lighting of incense or the use of lighters or matches for any reasons inside Atlanta Mission  
  • Theft: Any actions resulting in taking valuables from other clients, volunteers, staff or Atlanta Mission property that can be proven and can be used to bring legal action  

If you're not sure if the incident is an infraction, you can click on the Community Living Agreement Link to review and determine if the incident should be input as an infraction.

You can view the Last Infraction Notice # entered behind the Infraction creation on the right.

9. Type the Infraction Description, ensuring you include the who, what, where, when, why, and how of the Infraction.

10. Click Save.

Your Community Living Infraction is now documented and can be viewed in the Incidents list.
