When a client leaves Atlanta Mission, we need to discharge them and notate their exit reason and destination. Typically, a CLA or CLL will discharge their bed and this will also automatically discharge and close out their Program Engagement with the same information.
However, there are times where a Case Manager may know more information about a client's departure. When this occurs, the Case Manager can discharge the client's Program Engagement which will automatically update their bed assignment.
This article describes how to discharge a client's Program Engagement for Find Hope, Choose Help, Make Progress, or Sustain and Grow.
From the Client's Program Engagement
1. Click Discharge Client.
2. Enter the End Date (the day the client left Atlanta Mission).
3. Select the correct Exit Reason.
4. Select the correct Exit Sub Reason.
5. Select the Destination / Housing type.
6. Enter in any Exit Notes.
7. Click Save.
Ensuring the exiting information is accurate is key. This information impacts overall reporting to leadership and the board.
The Client's Program Engagement has been discharged. It will now show as Inactive and the Exit Information has been updated. Their related bed assignment has also been discharged and the exiting information has been matched to the Program Engagement.
